how much does it cost to put a fuel pump/tank on?

my son in law is wanting to charge us 150 to put a tank/pump on our 98 cavalier…is that unreasonable?
im providing tank and pump
Anything you give him should be enough, after all he is your son in law. But if he was just a friend, one hundred fifty, is reasonable.. Good luck with your choices.

Its an easy job..does that include the part? Cheaper than a dealer will charge you.
If its 1996 or newer the "Check engine" light may come on..it will disappear after 40 starts.

I did it with a Chevy Corsica…nearly the same car.
That’ about what a small shop would charge you to replace the fuel pump,(Labor) plus you would have to buy the fuel pump.

NO NOT AT ALL …. THE JOB AT A CHEVVTY PLACE WOULD COST U 400 TO 500 HERE IS WHY IST THE TANK NEEDS TO BE DRAINED… THEN REMOVED AFTER ALL THE FILL SPOUTS AND FUEL LINES ARE REMOVED ONCE THE TANK IS LOWERED THEN THE TOP PLATE COMES OFF AND THE FUEL PUMP AND LINES HAVE TO COME OUT … UNHOOKED AND THEN A NEW PUMP PUT ON AND REINSTALLED … DO NOY PUT A FILTER ON THE PUMP IN THE TANK SLICE IN AN INLINE FUEL FILATER WHERE YOU CAN EASILY ACCESS IT TO REPLACE IF CLOGGED … THEN HOOK UP FILL P[IPES ETC REST OF FUEL LINES PUT SOME GAS IN TANK AND TRY IT OUT FOR 150 THAT IS A STEAL TRUST ME
