i have a goulds water pump that was my dads, and know NOTHING about it. does anyone have any info on it?

There’s a Goulds pump factory in Seneca Falls NY. Call information, get their number and send your picture to them.
Not to be wise but it looks like a museum piece to me. It might be worth some big bucks!
