What will be theoretical approach to calculate pressure at output of propeller block if pump motor is rotating at speed N rpm? like using maths and probably integration?what will be theory?
A pump does not create pressure, only flow, which is used to calculate resulting pressure from input power and output aperture cross section.
Power delivered to the pump is
P = 2 pi N T
N = Revs/sec
T = Torque in Newtons
P = Watts
Power delivered to the fluid is the volume flow times the pressure drop
P = (m^3/second) (Pa) = (m^3/sec)(N/m^2)
Pa = P/(volume flow)

Blood Pressure Disease, often called the silent killer; it is very common for a person to suffer from high blood-pressure without even knowing it. Blood pressure is actually the pressure of the blood against the walls of the arteries; and, is monitored by checking the pressure of the heart as it pumps blood to the rest of your body; and, the pressure between beats as the heart relaxes. Blood-pressure is usually categorized as either being high, low, or normal.
The initial symptoms of high blood pressure or hypertension are so mild that most people who associate them with other conditions or causes, do not notice them at all, or fail to take them seriously until there is a serious problem. The most common symptoms are nausea, fatigue, headaches, and dizziness. If left untreated, blood pressure disease can lead to more serious conditions, such as heart failure, heart attack, stroke, and kidney failure. Before we go further, we should note that abnormal blood pressure could be chronic and lead to the conditions mentioned. But, it can also be temporary and not cause any short term or long term problems. The most common causes of temporary high-blood-pressure include pregnancy, nervousness over a doctor’s visit, also called “white coat syndrome,” or birth control pills. Chronic high blood pressure has been linked to uncontrollable factors like age, race, and family history. As well as, factors, such as weight, sodium intake, and lack of exercise, that can be controlled. Some of the most effective ways to treat blood pressure disease revolve around lifestyle changes such as changing eating habits, increasing exercise, and managing stress. Yet, there are also medications that help lower high blood pressure. These typically include diuretics and beta-blockers.
On the opposite end of the spectrum is low blood-pressure, also called hypotension. Low blood pressure can cause a few more symptoms than high blood pressure. So, in addition to symptoms like dizziness and fatigue low-blood-pressure can also cause fainting, depression, and cold and/or clammy skin. Low blood pressure, if left untreated, can lead to serious health issues, such as shock. Shock is the term used to describe a rapid failing of vital organs that occurs without warning and is caused by long periods of low pressure of the blood. Persistent or serious low blood pressure is caused by serious conditions such as dehydration, blood loss, or a change in blood pressure medicine. Treatment for low-blood-pressure will depend largely on its cause.
Most people have normal blood pressure. Normal is when the body is healthy enough to maintain itself. The body has sensors that let it know whether it needs to adjust to combat a lower or higher blood pressure. In order to stay on top of blood pressure levels, it is important to have your blood-pressure checked routinely, and more often as you get older. Blood pressure monitors are easy to use and work by electronically displaying the rate at which the heart contracts over the rate at which it relaxes between beats. Blood pressure monitors for many people to identify high or low pressure.
Called the silent killer by many, blood pressure can cause serious conditions and lead to death if left untreated. So, it is important to understand the often overlooked initial symptoms of both hypertension and hypotension. High-blood-pressure has become more visible in recent years, and it is important for those at risk to check their blood pressure routinely make the necessary lifestyle changes.

When it comes to purchasing a pressure washer the choices are much greater than one might think. Likely the most important choice that will help you to narrow down a good selection is whether you want an electric pressure washer or a gas pressure washer. How to buy a pressure washer from there might be a bit simpler. If you decide to go electric then you should be aware that they will be smaller, easier to maneuver, and much quieter. They also don’t require as much maintenance as gas powered machines do. Gas powered washers offer more power and do cost more.
For industrial purposes, a gas powered pressure washer will be the answer when the question is how to buy a pressure washer. One of the main other factors to consider is PSI which means per square inch. That is very important, especially in industrial usage. This is only an important and critical factor if you plan to clean large areas. Pressure washers are used daily by various commercial cleaning contractors. Commercial pressure washers are composed of industrial pumps, very heavy-duty components and motors. How to buy a pressure washer depends solely on the pressure washer application.
Pressure washers come in many various assortments and types. The standard styles are cold, hot, and steam pressure washers. You should be aware of how to buy a pressure washer before embarking on the journey. Cold water pressure washers are the standard for general cleaning jobs that do not require the strength that the others offer. If you generally will be removing such things as grease and oil then a pressure washer that emits hot water will work much better as their temperatures reach a high enough point where they have the capabilities to remove such debris.
The hot water systems are also much more effective for cleaning cars and trucks, places that have contact with food and preparation, and to clean construction equipment. The ultra high temperatures make all the difference when you are figuring out how to buy a pressure washer.
Steam clean pressure washers rely on propane, gasoline, or other types of heating oils to create wet steam. Dry steam only offers a small amount of the same pressure and does not have the flow to remove debris from most surfaces. Although dry steam still uses the PSI measurement, the best that they can stand up to is about 50PSI. There is also not much consistency at all with dry steam cleaners.
The application and pressure washing locations play a vital role in determining how to buy a pressure washer. If it will be used outdoors then there are general rules laid in place by the EPA that prohibit exactly how you will use your pressure washer. Simply allowing water flow and contamination to run down the storm drains will likely get you a hefty fine. For indoor use there may be standards in place by both the EPA and OSHA that have to be followed.

A bicycle pump has a piston with area .44 inches squared. If a person exerts a force of 30 lbs on the piston while inflating the tire, what pressure does this produce on the air in the pump?
30/.44 = 68.1818 psi
All of our muscles need a continuous supply of oxygen carried by the blood and the heart is no exception. However, due to diet, age, and other factors such as high blood cholesterol, high blood pressure and smoking, our coronary arteries may become smaller or clogged. When the blood flow to the heart is restricted, it results in coronary heart disease, sometimes known as CHD. Angina occurs when not enough blood carrying oxygen can get through to the heart. This often causes a pain in the left arm or chest. When the blood flow is cut off completely, a heart attack occurs. Any part of the heart that is not receiving the oxygen it needs begins to die and permanent damage to the muscle can be done.
What are the symptoms of coronary heart disease?
Some people may not experience any symptoms. Others may feel short of breath or experience a mild discomfort in their chest area. Still others suffering from coronary heart disease experience a constant chest pain that may hinder their everyday activities.
Those that suffer from angina say they feel a pressure or heaviness on their chest. This can sometimes include a burning sensation or they may say it feels like their chest is being squeezed. Other symptoms associated with coronary heart disease include dizziness, queasiness, shortness of breath, and can include heart palpitations. Pain may spread to their neck, jaw, or arms.
If you suffer from angina, the doctor will try to diagnose what type you have - stable or unstable. Just like the names, stable angina tends to occur at certain times such as after you exert yourself, after a large meal, or when you get upset. The pain lasts between one and five minutes and usually resting helps alleviate the symptoms. If you have no pattern as to when you experience the pain, it is known as unstable angina. This is the more severe type of the two.
Once the doctor establishes that you do have coronary heart disease, he may ask you to take some tests to see to what damage has been done. One test he may order is the electrocardiogram (ECG). This will show him the electrical activity of the heart. A stress test is normally done on a treadmill. This forces the heart to work harder, a time when problems often show up. Your blood pressure and heart rate will also be monitored while taking the stress test. A nuclear scanning involves the doctor inserting a small amount of radioactive material into your vein. He can then see damage done by using a scanning camera. Finally, a coronary angiography is a test where a catheter is inserted into an artery (usually in your arm or leg) and it films the heart while it pumps. The picture it takes is known as an angiogram.
What is the treatment for coronary heart disease?
That depends on the severity. If it is less severe, the doctor will probably suggest lifestyle changes. Many people do not care for this treatment because it involves giving up things they love. You will need to change your diet so it is lower in fat and cholesterol. You will also need to start on an exercise regiment as well. Even a small amount of exercise can lower your risks of a heart attack. Smokers can drastically reduce their chances of a heart attack when they quit smoking. Even if you have already suffered from one heart attack, stopping smoking can prevent another.
Those with more severe cases of coronary heart disease may need to undergo surgery. Coronary angioplasty is one type of surgery for coronary heart disease. Often referred to as balloon angioplasty, this involves a catheter going through the artery that is blocked. The balloon on the end is inflated to help open up the artery. If the artery cannot be opened, you will need a coronary artery bypass operation. In this, the surgeon removes a blood vessel from another part of the body and graphs it onto the blocked artery. The blood is then able to go around the blockage by way of this new vessel. Even after having these surgeries, you will be asked to change your lifestyle.
If you experience any type of chest pain, it is imperative that you visit your doctor to get a checkup. Chances may be it is nothing life threatening, but it is always better to be safe than sorry.

I have a mint condition Chevette and I’m trying to get this new Weber 32/36 to work. Does its mechanical fuel pump build less pressure at idle than say 5,000rpm?
Thanks for knowledgable replies!
A mechanical diaphragm type fuel pump should give the same pressure at any rpm.
When fuel pressure builds, it holds the diaphragm of the pump down. So at any rpm, if the carburetor doesn’t need fuel, the back pressure hold the diaphragm down and the linkage just operates without pushing any fuel.
If the stock pump isn’t giving you enough pressure or flow, I’d suggest going with an electric fuel pump.
ok here is the situation, I have two 3000PSI pressure washer pumps, and a gas engine, If I took both and connected them to the motor, supplied enough water flow and used a coupler to join the output on both, will I get 6000psi of water pressure or will I end up creating back pressure and possibly damaging the pums, or will I get killed in the process.
I hope someone with an engeniering degree reads this, maybe I can get a valid answer. oh and forgive me for my spelling disaster here….he he he
If you have enough power in your gas engine to run both pumps, you may get almost twice the volume output of one pump at 3000PSI. For your next question, try the ‘Check Spelling’ feature located above the box.
