The tank says 75 psi and is 120 gallons. The guage on the side of the tank was down to 9% which is the lowest I seen. I have bled the air out making the pump kick in raising the water pressure, but the next time I use water it drastically falls again. I was not given any owner’s manuals. There are air valves on the side of the tank and on the pipe leading into the tank from the well. Should they have caps over them? There seems to be too much water in my yard even with the recent rains from cold fronts.
it sounds to me that you do not have a pressure regulating valve after the pressure tank.
a pressure regulating valve keeps the pressure in the house a level 60 psi or higher if needed.
pressure in the tank from the pump should fluctuate from 65 to 110 psi. IE the pump kicks on at 65 psi and off at 110ish
that is if you have air in your pressure tank.

You should have something that looks like this.
Do not bleed the air out of the tank.
The air is what gives you continous pressure.
Water can not compress, it is the air that gets compressed inthe top of the tank and then pushes the water out. If you do not have air you are only getting pressure from the pump, and it is made to turn on for 2 min then off again.
i would pump the air in the tank with a hand pump when the pump is off and give it 10 pumps,
you do not want to burst the air blader that is inside.
web site http://www.amtrol.com/wellxtrol.htm says air pressure in the tank was preset at 30 psi. and that is with no pressure to the tank.
Yes the air valves should have caps on them

If I put a 6.5 watt submersible pump at the bottom of a 20 gallon tank, how much would the heat from the pump raise the tank temperature?
If the tank is currently at 72 degrees, how much can I expect it to go up by?
i have a 55g salt tank, with a 675 GPH pump, and 2 175GPH pumps and my filter and my temp gets 2 degrees higher than what i set it at, if that helps at all

I have problems with my water pressure. In summer I hardly have any, and I have another villa that also has the same problem on the same peace of land. How could I go about installing a water pressure system that I could do it myself, and that is cost effective,,,any advice will be appreciated.
you could install a booster pump which should give you a good increase in your water pressure, it cost about 250-300 bucks though here is a link to check out http://www.daveyusa.com/daveyusa2/index.htn

3 days ago i had a power surge in my bronco ,i went to park turned off the key and it didnt shut off ,i got out and pulled the coil wire , babied it home. next day checked everything ,ie. fuses alt. batt.toggle switches.all good ,go 1 mile and it quits running ,tow to a shop . he said the ignition module burnt out .159.00 and 150 labor .i get in go 2 blocks ,dies again ? i took it back ,the thing is in mint condition ,but when i got it last month it had several wires cut ? so i put in starter, battery, water pump, radiator ,hoses, belts .reconnect all wirers ,and drive from oregan to az .all has been fine for 3 weeks excert only 12.36 volts when operate, use a twst light and it will jump to 13.66 volts ,tested alt at checker ,a+ check all fusible links x56 of them .check all wires under the hood ,like new , when i had the surge the other day it blew out both head lights im a good mechanic , i love a good challenge , i do all ,brakes to engines , but dang it im stumped . this is an 86 ford bronco 5.2 fuel injected 302 v8 4×4 in mint shape , this is a nice truck ,it sat for 2 years before i got ,hence all the parts ,injectors leak a tad , but why all the electrical now ?why didnt the fuse pop first rather than the head lights , ac motor went as fast as a jet at the same time , they cut the battery lead to alt and wired to a toggle switch, and a wire feeds the fuse panel ,no power inside with key switch . ill send you a pound of fudge or 20.00 just to pick a brain . tomorrow the shop will call wanting more money too. i gave 200.00 already and nothing to show for it . im unemployed ,dont they know? HELP .HELP;this has got me bad , no sleep .bad dreams trying to think ….what it is ? dam computers leave em in the house not in my truck please…………….
Might have better luck getting answers in the FORD section not the Chevy section
My guess would be a bad ignition module…just because you replaced it does not mean its still good.
Fuses blow for amps not volts…

i just moved into a house that has a small (about 40 gal) pond. i wanted to put fish in it. i have everything but the water pump. i’ve been looking around and i’ve found many solar fountain heads (about $30) that are pretty cheap and then i found a solar oxygenator for $100. which one would help the fish more? flowing water or just oxygen?
To be quite honest, they are roughly the same thing. For a small pond all you need is something to agitate the surface of the water. the carbon dioxide/oxygen exchange only occurs on the surface therefore a small fountain that agitates the surface would work, or a small air pump that causes bubbles. Both are just fine.

You are watching video #1 of 3 videos in this series, to view video #2 go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EzmbLZQClfM
Underwater video from my Seafox ROV (Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle). A CCTV camera is mounted inside and the ROV is powered by six 12 volt 1100 GPH (Gallons Per Hour) bilge pumps.
Two 12 volt car batteries connected in series (24 volts) are required to power the bilge pumps because of voltage drop through the 100 foot tether, which is made up of Cat5 cable and 18 gauge wire. A simple control box with toggle switches is used to turn off and on each pump, along with a switch for the 50 watt bulb aboard the ROV.
The ROV frame is made of 1/2″ PVC piping, the 3″ PVC piping on the top with end caps is water tight and provides flotation while the 1″ PVC piping at the bottom holds the ballast. I use metal washers on each top corner to fine tune the buoyancy for fresh and salt water. Most materials can be bought at Home Depot, the bilge pumps came from Canadian Tire.
